If good fences make good neighbors, the world is getting much more neighborly.

GETTY A quarter of a century after the iron curtain fell Europe is building walls again

Barely a week goes by without another European nation erecting a partition, signalling what many believe is the end of the Schengen zone and the dream of free movement.

One week ago Macedonia joined the long list of countries that have buckled under the strain and installed a barrier to halt the huge wave of migrants fleeing war, poverty and persecution.

Here we detail the border fences shooting up across Europe…

In a state seized by a dramatic surge in drug dealing, Bal Harbour police were about to take their controversial sting operation far outside Florida.

After weeks of delivering drug money to Miami storefront businesses, a new deal unfolded thousands of miles away in a country where the war on drugs had shifted: Venezuela.

Instead of enlisting the help of federal agents, the officers from the small community embarked on a series of laundering arrangements that were never revealed to the federal government.

For two years starting in 2010, they funneled millions in drug money into the bank accounts of Venezuelans, including William Amaro Sanchez, …

IKO-IKO HEADLINES 34th ANNUAL KING MANGO STRUT PARADE

It's all about parody at the King Mango Strut

Sunday's 34th Annual King Mango Strut didn't disappoint, but then again, it never does. The parade went on at 2 pm sharp and everyone was there - Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders and then some - they were all parodied in the parade this year. Above are two Coconut Grove icons, Monty Trainer (left) with Bobby Ingram, at the start of the parade.

The King Mango Strut is a parody parade, the last Sunday of each year is Strut Day in Coconut Grove. It's a great way to end the year and see friends and neighbors who you may not have seen recently. The whole town comes out to either march, or watch! Local and national news and events are parodied each year, many right up until the last week. It's a great way to end each year and the Grove community is flowing with people from all over for the event. Three main streets are closed and the strut goes around the block,…

You probably remember a while back my post about the Boston based subscription company calledBright Cellars, a wine subscription company, my favorite of all of the monthly subscription boxes I receive.

They sent me a complimentary box to review for the blog which I loved & we decided to partner up again (no brainer, I know)!

I will be the first to admit, I LOVE (red) wine but know very little about it – besides red/white and a little about the stereotypes of each kind (from my bar-tending career).

This is where Bright Cellars comes in, it’s a company launched by two MIT graduates whose goal was to introduce “hidden gems” (non mainstream wines) to you each month, they know y…

Often some of the worst performing stocks in one year will become the best performing stocks the next year. But which beaten down stocks will become the winners, and which will continue to suck wind? That’s the million dollar question.

Better yet, perhaps it’s the billion dollar question.

Billionaires like to go where the biggest risks are, because that’s also where the biggest returns can be found. Picking the winners in beaten down, and left for dead, stocks have been a formula for amassing tremendous wealth for some of the world’s best billionaire investors.

Consider the General Growth Properties story. Billionaire Bill Ackman stepped into a spiraling stock, and took a huge stake in the company, buying shares for as little as 25 cents back in 2009. In two years, he turned his $60 million investment into $1.6 billion.

So, which of today’s losers do you buy with anticipat…
